Our Rosary Makers Ministry will gather on the first Monday of the month at 1pm in the St. Paul Church Hall. All are welcome to join this special ministry!
Please contact Lynn Misteri at [email protected] or (860) 913-5448 with any questions.
In addition to gathering in the Church Hall to make rosaries together, some members of the group help make rosaries at home.
New members are always welcome!
The rosaries made by our dedicated Rosary Makers have been distributed all over the world. They are brought to local health care facilities such as Ledgecrest, to prisons, to hospitals and nurses working in hospice, to our First Communicants, to people receiving the Sacrament of the Sick, and to children in our religious education classes.
Through Father Eugene Kole, presently the Chaplin at Langley Air Force Base and a former Friar here at Saint Paul, many rosaries have also been given to those in military service to our country. The need for rosaries has never been greater for our young men and women protecting our nation and the cause of liberty around the world.
The Rosary Makers also create 'Continental Rosaries' for the Archdiocese of Hartford; each of the 5 decades is a different color, representing 5 different areas of the world: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia and all of the island countries, and Europe. The Continental Rosaries are used in a children’s program developed by the Archdiocese.
Each rosary is accompanied by an instruction card, donated by the Knights of Columbus explaining how to pray the rosary. The many colored beads are provided by a woman in Cheshire, continuing in her ministry to provide beads for rosaries as started by her father.
