Confirmation students are needed to help from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as volunteers at the 2023 Saint Paul School Summer Camp. The children who attend are between the ages of 3-13. You will assist with sports, arts and crafts, and activities on the Parish Green. One day (6 hours) counts as one Service Event. Remember to bring your service track sheet. One is attached to the Sign Up Genius if you need it.
If you have any questions or need to reschedule/cancel, please contact Jenn Bradley, Camp Coordinator, at [email protected] or call: 860-838-4343.
Our Parish Family Picnic will be held on SATURDAY, JUNE 24 after the 4PM Mass on our Parish Green. It takes MANY helpful hands to make this annual event a success. Thank you in advance for volunteering your time and for supporting our beloved parish family!
Students are expected to be present from 3:30PM - 8:30PM, including attending 4PM Mass. Instructions will be provided before Mass so that everyone knows where they need to be and when. Responsibilities include food service at 5PM, activities for the kids following the meal, and clean-up at the end of the evening. Thank you!
Saint Paul Parish is once again tending to a 10 X 25 garden plot in the Hatchery Brook Community Garden on Orchard Road in Berlin. The food grown will be distributed every Thursday from Town Hall through their food bank program. Any extra will be given to our Parish for our Saint Clare Food Pantry distribution.
We will need help during the spring and summer months planting seeds, weeding and harvesting. Then in the fall, we will need help clearing the plot at the end of the season. We are estimating the length of time on each date. Depending on the number of volunteers it may be more or less time.
This is a great way for Confirmation students to complete a Service Event over the summer months. We also welcome the help of parents and siblings. It is a beautiful way to serve others as a family.
Once you sign up, you will be contacted by Parish volunteers Krista Hilbie and Nancy Kennure who contact you to confirm date and time, weather permitting. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Kennure at: [email protected] or Mrs. Hilbie at: [email protected]
Eucharistic ministers Mark & Mary Jane Duplin, with their son Patrick, take communion and visit Ledgecrest residents weekly on Sunday mornings from 10-11 a.m. They can only take an additional TWO students with them on any given week. This would not be an ongoing, weekly commitment, but rather a one-time visit.
Please do not go to Ledgecrest until Mr. Duplin contacts you to confirm your date.
Remember to bring your service track sheet. Thank you!
