This counts as 1 Service Event/1 hour, regardless of the number of bags donated. It can only be counted once.
Our Parish Social Action committee is looking for Easter bag donations to benefit the children at the Klingberg Family Centers. The main campus is in New Britain.
Please prepare an Easter BAG rather than a basket. Easter themed bags can be found at the Dollar Store. Some suggested contents that can also be found at the Dollar Store are: colorful grass, plastic eggs with jelly beans, chocolate Easter bunnies, Peeps, notebooks and coloring books, pens, crayons, colored pencils, stuffed bunnies, spring themed socks, nail polish, and puzzles.
Please drop off your Easter bag on Sunday, April 6, from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Church Hall, which is in the basement of Saint Paul Church. A member of the Social Action committee will be there to collect them. This is a meaningful opportunity to practice almsgiving during Lent.
Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private, nonprofit multi-service agency providing help to thousands of persons across Connecticut each year. Their goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in its various forms, severe family problems and mental health issues. Through an array of group care, special education, foster care and community programs, children and parents are given the encouragement and skills they need to function more effectively at home, in school and in their community. Our main campus is located in New Britain, Connecticut. They also offer a wide range of community services from our office in Hartford.

Eucharistic ministers Mark & Mary Jane Duplin, with their son Patrick, take communion and visit Ledgecrest residents weekly on Sunday mornings from 10-11 a.m. They can only take an additional TWO students with them on any given week. This would not be an ongoing, weekly commitment, but rather a one-time visit.
Do not go to Ledgecrest until Mr. Duplin contacts you - via email - with a visit confirmation. These dates are assigned first-come, first-served.
If you have any questions, Mr. Duplin can be reached at: [email protected]
